Snow in Houston!

Never thought I'd see the day!
This past Wednesday night it was snowing here in Houston!
It actually stuck to the ground too!
It was so pretty and it finally made it feel like Christmas!
On our street!
Self portrait of me and the snow!
Ben wasn't feeling well!

Plant in front of our house...
I know you Michiganders aren't too impressed...
but it was still cool to see it here in Texas!

The Nutcracker!

Last week Sunday, Ben and I and Tami & Randy Klibert (Michelle Taetsch's Aunt and Uncle!)
went to go see The Nutcracker!
It was such a great evening!
What wonderful company and a wonderful performance!
I vowed I would never complain about me feet hurting again after
watching those girls!!

Part 2 of our Favorite Day!

To finish off our wonderful day!
We had a beautiful sunset on our journey back to our ship!
But before we went back...
The tour guides took us to a private beach!

It was so beautiful!

They served us authentic Mexican fajitas right on the beach!
And the bar had swings all around it!

Life is grand!

My fajita guy!

Our Favorite Day!

Our favorite day in Playa del Carmen!
We rented Jeep Wranglers and drove them to some Mayan Ruins.
Our guide told us some cool stuff and took us in the caves.

Awwww Yeah!!
Ben in his glory!

Us with another couple we met! Tony and Amy

Solomente Jeeps! Apparently Jeeps is the same in English as it is in Spanish!
Why mess with a good thing?

In a cave was a mineral pool where the Mayans would go for healing.
The pool was inside the cave and so clear!
It was about 70 degrees and beautiful!

The "healing" pool

We went snorkeling in the cave... it was pretty fun!
At some parts it was over 35 feet deep.

Our guide telling us about the history... and telling us it was okay to drink the Mexican water!

On our hike!

Bienvinedos a Meixo!!

Our last port was in Cozumel, Mexico!
We took a ferry from the island to Playa Del Carmen!
These are some random shots of the day!

Lots of cruise ships!

Beautiful, gorgeous, wish you were here!

Ron Jon surf shop is Mexican isn't it?

Grand Cayman Island and Formal night #2~

Our second trip off of the boat was to Grand Cayman Island.
We were supposed to go snorkeling with the stingrays and feed them...
but I (Emily) wasn't feeling too great...so we spent most of the day back on the boat.
I was really bummed! The water was so clear!
But after a good 3 hour nap... I felt much better!

View from the boat!

My handsome guy!

Waiting for the show to start!

Zip Line in Jamaica Mon!!

For our first "excursion" we went on a zipline tour in the jungle of Jamaica!
It was a lot of fun!
There were 7 ziplines total! Some long and some short!
The last one was over 1,000 feet long!
It was awesome!
You can see one of the zip lines behind us in this picture!

The super long one! That's me! I promise!

All geared up!!

Ben zip lining! That is some huge bamboo!
We had such a great time!
Jamaica we noticed was a very poor country.
Makes me so thankful for what I have!

Sunrise Over Jamaica!

We woke up early one morning to watch the sunrise!
It was so beautiful!

If you look close you can see Jamaica!

God's colors are amazing!

"I never thought purple went well with orange until I saw the sunset
last night! That was awesome"

~quote from Children's Letter's to God

First Sunset!!

It was so great to see the sunset over the water again!
One of the things we miss about not living in Michigan!
It was a beautiful night!

My earings were flying in the wind so much! I had to hold onto them!

Life is good!

Animal Towels!

Ben....supporting the animal towel of the day!!

A bunny... I think!
