Well Crap!
Alright, I suppose that title is a bit depressing but we had a bit of a downer this weekend. On friday Emily and I were planning (as we've been doing since a little before Christmas) to close on our first house. We found out late in the day Wednesday that the previous owner had been a bit behind on his finances and we would be unable to get the house. We had to extend our closing until this Monday. Our sources tell us that there is a slim chance that we'll get the house now. So we've got two weeks to figure out what we're going to do since we pushed it until our apartment lease was up. It's all in a bigger plan than we can even fathom and we've been praying for God to help us understand all the things that would go into this event of buying a house. I guess He just decided to teach us about the other side of the ball than the side we had thought of....We will survive, we just had to take a step back for a bit :)

Geocaching with Kara here!
We were able to go geocaching with Kara when she was here last weekend!
We went to a huge park in Houston.
Before we started... we heard the sound of the ice cream man in the distance!
We grabbed a quick cold treat and we were on our way!
Ben leading the pack! We were hot on the trail!
The first geocach was an old army box filled with little trinkets!
We found it! We signed our names in the book and put
it back for the next group to find!
Brooke and Ben discoverd the second one that day!
We had a great day! A lot of walking through the woods, thorns, and mud! But it was worth it!

Too Hard
So maybe my last question was too hard.
I still can't think of one!
How about a new one....
What one song puts you in a great mood?
Maybe we can find an answer to the other one this way?
Emily's: Free Fallin' Tom Petty
Ben's: Two Princes Spin Doctors

Music for Thought
I was thinking the other day about how much music influences
us no matter how much we may be aware of it.
Music can bring people together, create emotions, bring back good memories,
bad memories, remind us of a certain person, a certain time,
a certain place.
For some reason, a thought crossed my mind the other day.
You know when you hear a great song, it can put you in a great mood.
I was wondering is there just one song that anyone(young & old)
and everyone can
get this feel good feeling from?
Let me know your if you have any ideas!
I haven't thought of any yet!

The Harlem Globetrotters!!
Friday night, Kara, Ben, and I went to see the Harlem Globetrotters!
It was so much fun!
Those guys are so talented and funny!
Not to mention, who doesn't love a meal at a ballgame?
Wink! ;)
Kara Came to Visit!!!
My great friend Kara came down to visit this past weekend!
It was so wonderful to be able to spend some time with her!
Notice to short sleeves? It was beautiful weather!
During the day Friday we went to the Galleria (4th biggest mall in the US)! We went to Noordstroms to get our make up done... then we shopped till we dropped.....er... until lunch at the Cheesecake Factory! We finished off the rest of the afternoon shopping!
What a great day! Plus, we looked real good with our make up professionally done! ;)
Health Museum
Last weekend Ben & I went to the Health Museum downtown Houston!
We had a lot of fun! A lot of the things there were directed towards kids;
And seeing that we are kids ourselves..... it was perfect!
Ben seeing what he looks like on the inside when he rides his bike!
Me... learning the importance of dental hygiene
Yes Ben! That is a very healthy liver! Way to go!
Me learning how important exercise is for my heart!
Ben getting a good workout too!

And the Winner is....
The day after the exterminator came, we haven't heard a scratch, chomp, or a peep!
Unfortunatly, neither of us was home when he was here. I even went
to the front office to see if he had mentioned anything to the apartment people!
Nothing! So I apologize. I have no official answer. You all win!
I guess for now although I am curious as to what it is/was.... maybe it's
a blessing that I don't know!
PS... You're all awesome!
