Watching storms over Lake Michigan

After the wedding we spent some time up at my Aunt Pam and Unkie Tim's cottage

up on Lake Michigan. The first night, we had a storm coming...the following pictures is how it all developed!

Doesn't look too bad at this point....
Are you serious????
All of us getting comfortable watching the storm roll in!
Maybe we shouldn't get too comfortable!!

Standing up...getting ready to run!
This is the point when we started to pray...
Amazing! At this point the temperature dropped about 10 degrees and the wind picked up!
It was awesome to watch! And the storm really didn't end up being that bad!

These pictures are SO crazy. I would NOT have been on that deck watching. I would have been heading for the hills!

That's amazing. The power of God all wrapped up in a thing called a storm. I wonder who made that word up?! They are more incredible to watch roll in over a lake... not that I would know... you'll have to ask Steve about a certain Hurricane he adventured in in CN.

Amazing! Oh, how I miss thunderstorms. They are so relaxing and exciting at the same time. We don't get thunder and lightening in Southern California. Heck, we barely get rain! We've had thunder 2 times since we lived here in 3 years and it was the major news story for days. How strange. Do you get storms in TX?

Great pics of the incoming storm from our deck! Glad you all enjoyed our cottage and got to see the awesome sight of a Lake Michigan thunderstorm. Wes and I have only seen one that scary one other time!
